Black Sapote NW-C-2 anchors the northwest grove at SweetSong. It’s one of our oldest trees, planted in early 2012. It took a while to get cranked up, but it is now a good producer. We’ve eaten a dozen of its fruit already this fall, with more of varying sizes still on the tree. We hope it will be in the commercial mix in late 2018.
If you are not familiar with this interesting fruit, check out its page, especially its unusual ripening characteristics.
