The Manalita is a rather uncommon semidwarf mango from Mexico. The fruit is small— around 8 oz.— brightly colored, and fiberless with a thin seed. Excellent flavor! Somewhat early bearing, it is a useful season-extender for the home grower with limited space.
Ours is from Fairchild Tropical Botanical Park, purchased at the Mango Festival in July, 2014. The 2017 crop of about a dozen all went to our own kitchen.
The 2019 crop has been excellent, bringing joy to several private customers.
