SW-F-2 — Canistel (Fairchild #2)

Tree SW-F-2 is a Fairchild #2 canistel. The fruit is smaller than most canistels, and more pointed. It’s considered one of the best-tasting varieties, but is difficult to acquire.

We bought one of only two in stock at the Excalibur Nursery in Fort Worth, Florida, in August 2017. A few weeks later, it survived Hurricane Irma, and produced its first fruits in late 2019.
