The Big Jim longan is extremely productive, with large, delicious fruit, it’s much in demand and hard to acquire. It apparently originated in south Florida, and Wayne Clifton is credited with introducing it to the Southwest coast. We obtained ours from Wayne in February, 2013. It took some punches from Hurricane Irma, but it is again vigorous, and we hope for commercial production in 2019.
